Tambayan chat gives you a lightweight way to meet other participants without leaving the directory.

Lobby chat

The lobby is the shared community room. Use it to ask broad questions, find teammates, or share useful event updates.

Good lobby etiquette

• Keep messages helpful and relevant to the community.
• Avoid posting sensitive personal information.
• Link to official sources when you share deadline or application updates.

Direct messages

Select a participant from the chat sidebar to start a private conversation. Direct messages are useful for following up on a teammate search or coordinating around a specific event.

Reporting an issue

If a message seems unsafe, misleading, or spammy, do not amplify it. Capture the relevant context and contact the project maintainers through the repository.
